The Turkey Hill Community Neighborhood Watch focuses in this order on:

1.Crime Prevention - There is a significant amount of crime that happens within the Turkey Hill neighborhood. Our neighborhood watch program’s main purpose is to reduce that crime. We do this by focusing on two areas which are:

  1. What to do when crime happens

  2. What to do to prevent crime

2. Maintaining Roadways, Signage, &  Other Safety Infrastructure - We ensure county organizations such as DOT, DPU, and other organizations maintain their responsibilities regarding our roadways.

3. Community Pride - We work to keep our neighborhood clean, free of trash, maintain and increase property value, and ensure it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Monthly Meetings

Every 3rd Saturday of the month, neighbors gather at Embark Church (3600 Columbia Rd.) to:

  1. Fellowship with one another. We believe knowing your neighbor is crucial for a healthy neighborhood.

  2. Update residents on improvements made within our community.

  3. Identify and discuss problems that need addressing.

  4. Identify beneficial community trainings for the monthly meetings. For example, we routinely have the Sheriff’s Department come to address crime and hear concerns, officials to teach on use of force to defend yourself, etc.
